Most native Vermonters will tell you if you need to gear up for the ever-changing weather that this state can throw your way, Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel is the place to go. But Lenny’s is more than a shopping destination.

The foundation of Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel is supporting the people that work to keep our communities running. But, equipping customers with high-quality products that stand up to the rigors of their day and providing excellent customer service is only part of it. Working together to contribute to the people and organizations that support the communities we live and work in is what it’s all about.

One of the great things about being a part of a business like Lenny’s is that you get to hear all the stories about the people and events that came before you. One of my favorite stories is expertly told by Michael, our Corporate Accounts Manager. A customer came up to Michael and asked him if he knew Lenny. The customer told Michael a story about a time on a job site where he and his crew were cutting a road through The Notch. In the wee hours of the morning, a stranger pulled up with a pickup truck full of work boots and he proceeded to fit every guy on the job with a new pair of boots. That stranger in the pickup truck turned out to be Lenny McCarthy, founder and owner of Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel. From that day forward, the customer explained with a smile, he would never buy a pair of boots from anywhere but Lenny’s.

At Lenny's, we are proud that we can be a home base for people who keep our communities running. If you’ve shopped at one of our brick and mortar stores or clicked through our new online store, you are a part of something bigger than you may have known. Your patronage helps families put meals on the table. Your commitment to shopping local helps ensure that a child’s holiday is bright. Your involvement allows us to provide shoes and clothing to folks affected by natural disasters.

Thank you for being a part of the Lenny’s family tradition.
